Then at 9 weeks, he started doing it fairly regularly (going 9-11 hours without waking). Like his brothers, he typcially takes a 45-min nap, but we've been able to get him back to sleep in the afternoon for a longer nap. He had his first bottle around 3 weeks without any problem and continues to take one easily. He loves to smile and laugh, but seems a bit shy and is selective about where and for whom he will share his precious smile. He tends to get overwhelmed, like Alex did as a baby, and is already displaying a little bit of separation anxiety. At his two month appt (9 weeks), he weighed 14 lbs 6 oz and was in the 95th percentile for weight! He definitely gets that from his Daddy. He is in the 75th percentile for height. In one month, he will also be a big brother. He loves to dance "ballet," watch Word World, do puzzles, dig in the dirt in our backyard, and play at Alex's school when we drop him off. He is a very slow eater and hates going to bed. He calls us into his room frequently after we put him down, apparently just to talk to us. He doesn't seem to need as much sleep as Alex does, even though he is two and a half years younger. He takes weekly music classes that he loves and he can sing pretty well for his age. His best friend is Olivia and he tell us he doesn't like her, he loves her! At 2y7m, Ari became a big brother (although he thinks he is not a big brother but rather a "medium" brother). He is doing really well with Niko and just loves to hold him, tickle him and touch him. There seems to be no hard feelings or jealousy. At 2y8m, we decided to move Ari out of his crib, in hopes that bedtime would go smoother. While he loves to get out of his bed for over an hour after we put him down, he doesn't scream and cry for us anymore. He won't nap in his bed though, so we have left the crib in his room for naps. It's a lot of work moving with young children!! We have decided to leave the walls the color the builder chose and only paint two rooms now--the dining and office in "latte." We will tackle other paint projects later when we're not so overwhelmed and the weather is better. We are really enjoying the new kitchen, fireplace, and pocket park, the boys are loving their playroom upstairs (Alex also enjoys having his own room with a door to shut Ari out when he's building complicated cities and traffic jams), and Zeus is happy to have his yard finally fenced in so he can roam around. The window coverings for the first floor should arrive soon. We are currently the only people living on our block, but should have two new neighbors within a week or two.
